Close up & mingling magic · Orlando
The best part of the night happens between the courses.
Thirty to forty five minutes, table to table, while your guests are holding drinks and talking to people they half know. No stage, no setup, nothing for you to arrange.

What it actually is
I come to them.
There is no announcement, no stage and no moment where the room has to stop and pay attention. I arrive at a table, something impossible happens a metre from their hands, and I move on before anyone gets restless.
01
Nothing to arrange
No stage, no sound system, no lighting, no space set aside. I work standing, in whatever room you already have.

02
It breaks the ice for you
Strangers who were politely avoiding each other end up leaning over the same table arguing about what they just saw.
Best forReceptions
03
It fits around the food
I work the gaps, so nothing in your running order has to move and the kitchen is never waiting on me.

Where it fits best
The awkward half hour
Every event has one. Guests have arrived, not everyone knows each other, and the food is not ready. That half hour is where close up magic earns its money.

Why me for this specifically
This is the work I am hired for.
Close-up is what I do at private events and corporate functions. Receptions, dinners and company parties. On a stage the room is already looking at you. At a reception you earn each table on its own, while people are mid conversation and holding a drink. It is a different job. Twelve years of weekly stage work at the Outta Control Magic Dinner Show and on cruise ships taught me to read a room quickly, and close-up is where that gets used a metre from someone’s hands.
